Did you know that many Credit and Debit cards, Transit cards such as Oyster cards, ID cards, Access cards to buildings and all new biometric passports have Radio Frequency IDentification micro chip embedded inside them?
This new feature enables to read your cards from distance without direct contact and visiblity with the reader. Unlike the barcodes or magnetic stripes. Together with convenience comes also the RISK because thieves having special RFID reader (easy to buy on Ebay) or even mobile phone with NFC reader can read data (steal IDentity) stored inside your RFID chip without your knowledge (without touching). This means you can be a victim of  the new electronic theft (also called electronic pickpocketing) and not be aware of it.
